This Privacy Policy explains how SurveyCrew collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal data. This document is a legal draft template and should be reviewed by counsel before production use.

2. Data We Collect
We may collect account data (name, email, role), organization/workspace data, survey definitions, response data including evidence uploads, communication/support messages, billing records, usage metrics, and device and log metadata.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases
We process data for service delivery, account security, billing/subscription management, abuse and fraud prevention, customer support, legal compliance, and internal analytics. Legal bases may include contract, legitimate interests, consent (where required), and legal obligations.
4. Audit and Security Retention
When a workspace or account is closed, data may be deactivated from normal product access but retained for audit, fraud prevention, incident response, legal hold, and regulatory compliance.
We delete retained data only after the legally required or operationally justified retention period ends.
SurveyCrew applies a standard retention period of 5 years for business, operational, audit, and security records, irrespective of location.

Note: Where law, regulator direction, tax rules, litigation hold, or active investigation requires longer retention, we retain data for the longer mandatory period.
5. Data Sharing and Processors
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with cloud infrastructure, authentication, storage, analytics, and support providers under contractual safeguards, and with authorities where legally required.
6. International Transfers
If data is transferred across borders, we apply contractual and organizational safeguards required by applicable law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion subject to applicable legal exemptions and retention obligations.

8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
9. Children
SurveyCrew is not intended for children below the age required by applicable law to consent to data processing.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
